The following motion was passed by the Board of Trustees:
Members must be either current or under arrangement with the Executive Director to become current on their account, including annual support, fees and all other charges, in order to schedule a B’nei Mitzvah date on the temple calendar.
Furthermore, at the time of establishing a date on the calendar, 50% of the B’nei Mitzvah fee is to be paid.
The balance due, along with any other related charges or fees is to be paid prior to the beginning of B’nei Mitzvah tutoring.
It is required that members remain current on their account during the entire period of the B’nei Mitzvah training or they risk losing their selected date.
Students must have Hebrew reading proficiency and mastery of select prayers one year before Bar/Bat Mitzvah or they risk losing their selected date.
Students at other synagogues may have a Bar/Bat mitzvah service scheduled on the same date. If this is a concern, parents are encouraged to contact the other synagogues to see if there is a conflict.
List at least three options from the list of available dates that work for your family.
*
If you have a strong preference for a particular date or if you have any particular scheduling challenges, please describe below. All choices must occur no earlier than four months before the student’s 13th birthday.
