Atzmi – For High School Juniors & Seniors

Let’s be honest — after Confirmation, many religious school alumni tend to disappear from our community. Since you’re too old for our Sunday morning program, nothing exists for those who might still enjoy learning new things or delving deeper into topics they have touched on in the past. That is going to change this year!

Starting this fall, all Touro Synagogue high school Juniors and Seniors are invited to join me on four evenings throughout the year for dinner and conversation.

We’ll get dressed up.
We’ll meet at legit awesome restaurants.
We’ll discuss important topics — things that are relevant to high school life.

And the best part? Dinner is on me — all you have to contribute is your voice.

You in?

If your answer is “YES!”, here’s what you should do:

  • Mark the dates listed below in your calendar. It’s important to block off these
dates in your calendar now in case other things come up that might potentially
conflict. I promise it will be a worthwhile experience, and I hope you prioritize it as best you can.
All dinners will take place from 5:00pm to approximately 7:00pm.

  • Call or email me and let me know you’re interested. As each date approaches, I will certainly reach out again to make sure we have an accurate count — but advance notice always helps in planning and making reservations!
  • Tell me if you have a restaurant suggestion! I’ve chosen four locations already, but I’m also a relative newbie to New Orleans — so I’m happy to take suggestions from seasoned cats like y’all. If any updates are made, I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as possible.

*Atzmi is Hebrew for “myself”. Bring YOUR voice and thoughts on important topics!
