From our roots in 1828 to the construction of our magnificent building in 1908 to today, Touro Synagogue has been a historic beacon and a vital presence in the city of New Orleans and in the Southern region of our nation. As one of the finest architectural landmarks in the city, Touro remains a sheltering home, a Sukkah, for diverse, reliable community leadership and engagement, social justice, educational and musical innovation, historical preservation, and spiritual renewal for Jews and non-Jews alike. A Capital Campaign is how we fund the future of Touro’s iconic building and community. Giving to this Capital Campaign offers an opportunity to support capital improvements that will protect and enhance the future of Touro’s mission and impact in the community.
Giving to this campaign can be spread out over a three year period to allow donors to maximize and manage their gifts according to their needs. See below for payment options.
Gifts to the Capital Campaign shall be considered in addition to and not a substitution for annual membership contributions for congregants.
