Dear Touro members,

We joyfully invite you to Touro Synagogue’s 2023 Annual Meeting, the 195th in our long history. Following our meeting, which will include rituals of transition between outgoing and incoming officers and messages from myself and clergy, we will have engaging activities for kids and a delicious communal luncheon in celebration of a wonderful year. (There will also be babysitting for children during the meeting.) For those who cannot attend, a livestream will be available for viewing at tourosynagogue.com/livestream.

The Nominating Committee for the Board of Trustees has made recommendations for the 2023-2025 term, including our new President and Executive Committee. The nominating report is linked here

All Members in Good Standing are cordially invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the Congregation and are invited to stay afterwards for a celebratory meal.

A two-thirds vote of Congregational Members in Good Standing present for the Annual Meeting of the congregation is required for the Board elections to take place. The quorum for a Congregational meeting shall be fifty (50) Congregational Members in Good Standing, so please know how significant your presence is!

I very much hope you will plan to join us, and look forward to being with you. Please be sure to RSVP. It will be a pleasure to report and reflect on this past year, hold our Board elections, and look ahead with excitement to the chapter to come in our synagogue life.

With warm regards,

Gary Silbert, President
