Celebratory Meal in Honor of Shavuot to Follow
Dear Touro members,
As we near the end of our fiscal year, a year of reunion, we plan to join together for Touro Synagogue’s 194th Annual Meeting. We hope you will be able to attend in person, however, we will also offer a Zoom option. The Annual Meeting will be held on June 5, 2022, on the holiday of Shavuot, at 10:10 a.m., immediately following the Touro Synagogue Foundation’s Annual Meeting at 10:00 a.m.
The Nominating Committee for the Board of Trustees has made recommendations for the 2022-2024 term. The nominating report is linked here.
A two-thirds vote of Congregational Members in Good Standing present for the Annual Meeting of the congregation is required for the Board elections to take place. The quorum for a Congregational meeting shall be fifty (50) Congregational Members in Good Standing.
Other reports will be made at the Annual Meeting including a congregational president’s report, treasurer’s report, reports from our clergy, and presentations of the Shepard H. Shushan Award and the Sandra S. Barnett Caring and Mitzvah Award.
All Members in Good Standing are cordially invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the Congregation and are invited to stay afterwards for a celebratory meal in honor of Shavuot. If at all possible, we suggest that you attend in person as it will help facilitate voting. However, if you are unable to participate in person or by Zoom using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, you may attend by calling into the meeting. Directions on how to register and to participate online or by phone are linked here.
Your participation in the Annual Meeting is important, we very much hope you will plan to join us, and look forward to being with you. Please be sure to RSVP. It will be a pleasure to report and reflect on this past year, hold our Board elections, and look ahead to the coming year, together with you.
With warm regards,
Gary Silbert, President
