Dear Congregants,

We joyfully invite you to Touro Synagogue’s 2024 Annual Meeting, the 196th in our long history. Our meeting will include rituals of transition between outgoing and incoming members of our Board of Trustees, messages from myself and clergy, and approval of our operations budget for the 2024-2025 year. This will be our final congregational event in the sanctuary before the High Holidays. During the meeting, we will have fun activities for children and childcare available. After the meeting, all are invited to enjoy delicious refreshments together. For those who cannot attend, a livestream will be available for viewing at tourosynagogue.com/livestream.

The Nominating Committee for the Board of Trustees has made recommendations to fill vacant seats for the 2024-2026 term. The nominating report is linked here.

A two-thirds vote of Congregational Members in Good Standing present for the Annual Meeting of the congregation is required for the Board elections to take place. The quorum for a Congregational meeting shall be fifty (50) Congregational Members in Good Standing, so please know how significant your presence is!

I very much hope you will plan to join us, and look forward to being with you. Please be sure to RSVP. It will be a pleasure to report and reflect on this past year, hold our Board elections, and look ahead with excitement to the chapter to come in our synagogue life.

With warm regards,

Laura Levy, President
